In Mazandaran they harvest kiwi at the beginning of September, but in Gilan usually they harvest two weeks earlier. Picking of fruit is not recommended after this period of time because birds attack destroys the crop and cold of winter can lead to freeze of kiwi. At the time of harvesting this fruit is tight and must be kept in a place with 15 degree centigrade temperature for at least one week. After this period it is utilizable and of course edible.
